3PL fulfillment
for baby and nursery products

Baby products are the most heavily regulated consumer category on Amazon, and the compliance work is physical: labels, warnings and bagging on every unit. Think14 handles it from an owned Texas warehouse.

What makes this category different

In this category the paperwork is printed on the product

Most compliance lives in a file somewhere. Children's product compliance lives on the item itself and on its packaging, which makes it a prep job rather than an admin job, and getting it wrong means a listing takedown rather than a warning.

CPSC tracking labels

US children's products require a permanent distinguishing mark on the product and packaging identifying the manufacturer, location, date of production and batch. It has to be there physically, on every unit.

Suffocation warnings

Poly bags above a certain size need a printed suffocation warning. Amazon enforces this on inbound FBA shipments, and unbagged or unwarned units get rejected or create safety complaints.

Testing documentation

Children's products need third-party testing and a Children's Product Certificate. That is the manufacturer's obligation, but Amazon can demand it from the seller at any point.

Small parts and choking

Age grading drives packaging and warning requirements. A product graded for under-threes has different obligations from the same item graded for older children.

How we handle baby and nursery products

Prep that keeps a children's listing compliant

We apply CPSC tracking labels, suffocation warnings, age-grade warning labels and FNSKU labels as part of standard per-unit prep, to the artwork and placement you supply. Poly bagging is standard on anything that needs it, with correctly printed warnings on bags above the threshold size.

On receipt we check that units arriving from your manufacturer actually carry the markings they are supposed to. Missing tracking labels on an inbound batch is a common and expensive discovery, and it is far cheaper to catch it at our dock than after a thousand units are sitting in an Amazon fulfillment centre.

Where your product needs assembly into a retail-ready set or a multipack, we kit it, and the compliance markings get applied to the finished sellable unit rather than to the components.

Straight answer

What is ours and what stays yours

We apply the markings. We do not certify the product. Third-party testing to the applicable CPSIA standards, issuing the Children's Product Certificate, and deciding the correct age grading are the manufacturer's and importer's responsibilities, and as the seller of record that responsibility ultimately sits with you.

What that means practically is that you supply the certificate, the label artwork and the correct content; we make sure every unit leaving our floor carries it. If you do not have testing in place, a prep centre cannot paper over it, and we would rather say that at quote stage.

The economics

Compliance prep is cheap next to a takedown

The cost of doing this properly is a per-unit prep fee. The cost of doing it badly is a suppressed listing in a category where reinstatement requires producing exactly the documentation you did not have, while your inventory sits unsellable in an Amazon warehouse accruing storage fees.

Baby products also carry higher-than-average return and complaint sensitivity, because the buyer is making a safety judgement. Packaging arriving intact and correctly labeled is part of how that judgement goes, which makes prep quality a conversion issue as well as a compliance one.

Labels at prep stage

CPSC marks, warnings and FNSKU applied together in one $0.75 per unit pass rather than three separate handling events.

Inbound verification

We check your manufacturer actually applied required markings before the batch goes anywhere near a fulfillment centre.

Takedown risk priced in

Reinstating a suppressed children's listing costs far more in lost sales than compliant prep costs per unit.

Common questions

Baby products fulfillment FAQs

Do you apply CPSC tracking labels?+

Yes, as part of standard prep, using the artwork and placement you supply. We also check inbound stock to confirm your manufacturer applied the required markings before it goes further.

Do you poly bag with suffocation warnings?+

Yes. Bags above the size threshold carry the printed suffocation warning Amazon requires, and bagging is standard on any unit that needs it.

Do you handle the product testing and certification?+

No, and no prep centre legitimately can. Third-party testing and the Children's Product Certificate are the manufacturer and importer obligations. You supply those; we make sure the physical units match them.

What happens if my inbound stock arrives without required labels?+

We flag it at receipt and quote applying the markings, or hold the batch for your decision. What we do not do is forward unmarked children's product into a fulfillment centre.

Can you kit baby products into gift sets?+

Yes. We assemble the set and apply the compliance markings and FNSKU to the finished sellable unit, which is what Amazon treats as the product.
